In-kind grants of technology and support services to USA K-12 schools and institutions of higher education. Grant recipients will receive licenses and services to support the implementation of safety technology. The purpose of this program is to ensure that students receive immediate emergency assistance.

The grant gives institutions the opportunity to provide their students with a safe and secure environment. The app can send alerts via app notification, SMS, and Email about their location and request for immediate help.

The Campus Safety App platform provides students an access to the following:

  • Configure campus police as default emergency contact
  • Send emergency alerts via App Notification, SMS and Email
  • Search for nearby hospitals, police stations
  • Get safety guideline information
  • Set up your profile with applicant's medical information

Number of Grants:

Up to 10 institutions may receive awards.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Institutions may receive up to $30,000 in software licenses, support and implementation services.

Term of Contract:

Institutions may receive awards for a term of up to five (5) years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Accredited Higher Education institutions and K-12 schools are eligible to apply.

Please note: If an institution has previously received a grant award for other Campus Consortium grants, it is eligible to apply for this grant.

Pre-Application Information:

Submit completed Grant Application and Letter of Intent by July 16, 2020. Campus Consortium intends to announce Grant Awardees by August 25, 2020.

Applicants are required to demonstrate institutional purpose in the form of a “letter of intent” signed by Dean/President or member of campus leadership team. The letter should indicate the challenges the solution aims to solve and why the grant would be helpful to the institution.

Institutions are eligible to apply for multiple grants. Separate applications are required for each grant pursued.
