Camp Magical Moments
THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO CREATE A CAMPING EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN, AGES SEVEN TO TWELVE, WHO HAVE HAD, OR CURRENTLY HAVE CANCER, ALLOWING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET AWAY FROM THEIR DISEASE AND JUST BE A KID FOR ONE WEEK. THE RANCH WAS ESTABLISHED TO OFFER CHILDREN WITH CANCER, AND FAMILIES OF DIAGNOSED CHILDREN, A PLACE OF RETREAT IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF FUN, FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE WITH OTHER CAMPERS WHO HAVE SIMILAR CHALLENGES. SEPARATE SUPPORT CAMPS ARE OFFERED TO MOTHERS, FATHERS, AND SIBLINGS, OF THE CHILDREN WHO ATTEND THE ONCOLOGY CAMP.
