Request a Grant Writer

Grants of $500 to USA PreK-12 teachers to enhance student understanding of agriculture by incorporating agricultural lessons into the core curriculum. Funding may be used for agricultural literacy, embryology projects, school gardens, and aquaculture projects. Teachers may propose creative classroom projects that use agricultural concepts to teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies and more.

Term of Contract:

Teachers have until June 30, 2020 to complete the project and submit a final report.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Only state-certified Pre-K-12 classroom teachers who are employed by a school district are eligible to apply. Private school teachers are eligible to apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadline for applications is September 15, 2019.

Applicants must include in-kind and/or monetary contributions for the project.
