Grants of up to $5,000 to Idaho nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for capital projects that improve the quality of life of local residents. Funding is intended to serve the needs of local communities by supporting civic, educational, human services, health, social, and cultural organizations. Organizations located in the following counties are welcome to apply: Twin Falls, Jerome, Cassia, Gooding, Lincoln, Minidoka, Ada and Canyon.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations applying for First Federal Foundation Grants must qualify as exempt organizations under Sections 170(c)(1), 170(c)(2), or 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation encourages applications from organizations within the Magic Valley and Mini-Cassia areas, and select projects in other communities First Federal serves.

The Foundation ordinarily does not provide grants to support the following:
- Individuals
- Political causes
- Religious organizations
- Private clubs
- Areas outside of the Magic Valley

Pre-Application Information:

Summer 2022 Application Period: May 2 - July 1

Funding decisions will be made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, who meet biannually in July and December.

Grant requests need to be submitted online.

Grant awards are generally to capital projects between $1,000 - $5,000.
